FOLLOWING the success of Rock for Haiti at The Maltings last Friday, The Barrels is doing its bit for the cause tomorrow night (Friday).

The Bridge Street venue is hosting some of the best local talent, who will all perform acoustic sets in aid of the disaster, which rocked the Caribbean island at the start of last month.

Mark Reid, Iain Petrie, The Mockingbirds and Secret Gang Handshakes will perform unplugged for the charity event.

There will be a raffle with a selection of prizes kindly donated by local businesses, including Berwick Rangers FC and the Chain Bridge Honey Farm.

There will also be special acoustic sets from three of the most popular local bands at the minute - Espionage of the Loc, The Warehouse Announcement's Steven Walker and Paul Sinclair and Robert, Pots and Pans.

Organisers are hoping the unplugged gig will have a similar impact as Rock for Haiti and generate essential funds for all those affected.
The gig starts at 8pm entry is free but donations are always welcome.
