AS a fundraiser for Amnesty International, Berwick Film Society is showing Brødre (Brothers), a film about the effects of war on a several members of an ordinary Danish family, at The Maltings, Berwick, on Monday, March 8, at 7.30pm.
The film is in Danish with English subtitles (Cert 15) and has won many awards, mostly for best actor/actress, music score and screenplay, and is a moving story of two brothers who must negotiate changing roles and shifting family dynamics when one is sent to war in Afghanistan.
The event is open to the public with admission at £5, and a percentage of takings will go towards supporting the Berwick Amnesty International Group's work. Berwick Film Society members receive free admission, and donations are welcome.
