FLOORS Castle is celebrating the 38th Massed Pipe Band Day by hosting the ultimate day out!
More than 200 pipes and drums will attend the musical extravaganza, which will be held within the grounds of Kelso's Floors Castle on Sunday, August 24.
Roddy Jackson, estate manager, said: "We are delighted to once again host this fantastic event
at Floors Castle.
"It is simply a great day out for all the family to enjoy and take part in the various activities within the estate."
A lone piper will welcome visitors to the Roxburghe Estate by playing a stirring lament from the castle ramparts. Fourteen bands will take part in the massed bands parade, which will be held in front of the castle.
As well as some inspiring Scottish music, there will also be a host of entertainment for all the family including highland dancers, falconry, garden games and carriage rides.
Children attending the event will be able to enjoy face painting, a bouncy castle an adventure playground as well as tractor and trailer rides across the Estate.
Tickets to the Massed Pipe Band Day will also allow free access to the castle's grounds and gardens, home to the present Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe.
Within the grounds of Floors Castle there is a spectacular walled garden, a star plantation, a garden centre, Millennium Parterre and a gift shop. You will also be able to sample some of Floors Castle's tasty food in the Deli, which is produced on the Estate.
