THE Moscow Ballet Theatre 'Osmoi Div' will present 'The White Cockade' and a selection from 'Giselle' in The Picture Gallery at Paxton House on Thursday, August 28, and Friday, August 29, at 7.30pm.
The Russian dancers will be joined for part of the performance by local ballerinas from The Jane Keenan School of Dance.
'The White Cockade' is a ballet fantasia on Bonnie Prince Charlie's dream of returning to Scotland, an appropriate subject for a house built for a Jacobite supporter.
It is produced and directed by Krystina Cameron Davydova, with a score based on traditional Scottish melodies.
After the interval there will be a selection of dances from 'Giselle'.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to enjoy a ballet with a Scottish theme, performed by six Russian ballerinas (coming specially from Moscow) and local dancers, in such a beautiful setting.
Tickets are available from Paxton House (01289) 386291.
