Presentation fund for canon

CANON Alan Hughes will be taking his last services at Holy Trinity and St Mary’s Church before Christmas, after serving 18 years in Berwick, which makes him the town’s longest serving vicar in almost a century.

Canon Hughes’ tenure saw extensive renovation work on the Parish Church.

A presentation fund is being opened for contributions to mark the event, ready from November 18.

Contributions to the fund can be made in person at the church, to any of the church wardens.

Alternatively, donations can be paid directly in to the fund at Barclays Bank, Hide Hill, Berwick.
