Riding of the Bounds principals installed

Louise Taylor, third from left, was installed as chief marshal for the 2013 Riding of the Bounds in a sashing ceremony on the Guildhall steps.

North Northumberland Explorer Scout Unit spent three days in the Cheviot Hills to complete their assessed silver expedition for their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Two teams of four walked over 36 miles to complete their silver expedition, which they all passed with flying colours. Georgina Swan, Alexs Muir, Beth Joy,Christopher Garland, Josh Turnbull, Jack Davidson, Ross Hume and Scott Gorvett.

Explorer Scouts complete 36-mile Cheviot trek

Eight members of North Northumberland Explorer Scout Unit have completed the Silver section of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
